DriveBlue is a revolutionary off-the-shelf consumer product that, when plugged into a car cigar-lighter socket of any vehicle instantly handles calls in comfort and safety, without ever touching the mobile phone.
Plug-and-Drive DriveBlue offers drivers the hands-free function whatever the location of the phone inside the vehicle. There is no need to install any system or to insert the mobile inside a cradle. Wireless connection between DriveBlue and the mobile is granted as long as the phone is turned on. "This is a critical breakthrough for the hands-free market. Available from phone shops, DriveBlue is an off-the-shelf electronic product which you can buy and use the next minute inside your car.” says Henri Seydoux, Parrot’s President. “Thanks to a microphone, a quality speaker, and voice recognition function, DriveBlue allows you to use the phone whilst keeping your eyes on the road and both hands on the wheel.” At a time when legislation in Europe is tightening up to restrict the use of mobiles in vehicles, DriveBlue’s benefits are not just for the sake of comfort - they are fast becoming a necessity.
Bluetooth Technology DriveBlue is based on Bluetooth wireless technology, a personal radio standard integrated in the latest phone models from the top manufacturers. DriveBlue establishes a Bluetooth radio connection using one of the phone's audio profiles, Headset or Handsfree. The connection, with a range of 10m, provides remote hands-free control and audio channel. "Your Bluetooth phone can stay in your pocket, at the bottom of your handbag or on the back seat, it will automatically switch into hands-free mode the moment it detects the nearby presence of its Bluetooth hands-free system, the DriveBlue".
A concentration of technology in 85 grams Compact at just 85 grams, Drive-Blue is the result of Parrot's unique expertise in Bluetooth technology and hands-free kits. It is supported by more than five years of R&D in the areas of embedded voice recognition, digital signal processing, ASIC design, and Bluetooth short-range wireless transmission technologies.
